It won the contest in MUNICH-GERMANY for being the most beautiful mountain in the world in 1966. Trekking, climbing and a wonderful view from the summit of the entire Cordillera Blanca and surrounding areas.
Alpamayo is a Peruvian mountain in the Andes mountain range located in the Cordillera Blanca. With an altitude of 5947 meters. In addition, it was proclaimed by Alpinismus Magazine in 1966 as "The Most Beautiful Mountain in the World".
It is recommended to come to the Cordillera Blanca from May to August, it is the Peruvian dry season, without rain. The ascent to the snowy Alpamayo is led by a maximum mountain guide with 2 clients, if there are more, another mountain guide joins the group.

Day 1: Huaraz - Cashapampa - Llamacorral
We start from Huaraz at 5 am, we head north passing through different towns until we reach Caraz (2250 m). Then we will continue to Cashapampa. Here the Donkey Driver will be waiting for us to transport our equipment. It's time to walk! After walking for 2:30 hours we will have lunch and continue for 5 or 6 more hours until we reach the first camp: Llamacorral, at 3760 meters high.

Day 2: Llamacorral - Arhuaycocha Base Camp
Today we will walk to the Quisuar ravine and arrive at the Alpamayo Base Camp (4300 m). Once there we will prepare and review the climbing equipment for the next day and we will rest.

Day 3: Base Camp - Morrena Alpamayo Camp
After breakfast we will begin to ascend for 3 hours along a rocky path. Then we will arrive at the Morrena camp (4800 m), where we will enjoy impressive views.
Day 4: Moraine Alpamayo Camp - Camp 1
After breakfast, we will ascend to the glacier for approximately 4:30 hours. To do this we must use our climbing equipment. Then we will arrive at Camp 1 (5550 m). Dinner and rest there.

Day 5: Camp 1 - Alpamayo Summit (5947 m) - Camp 1
Today we will get up at 3 in the morning and start climbing using flashlights for an hour. After that, we will approach the base of the wall (the Ferrari route). Here the inclination of the land is approximately 75º. Then we have to climb that wall for 2 or 3 hours. Finally we will reach the summit of Alpamayo from where we will have the most impressive view of the snow-capped peaks. After enjoying such a landscape and taking some photographs, we will rappel down with the help of our guide. We will return to the campsite at 11 or 12 o'clock. Lunch and rest in the afternoon and overnight on the glacier at 5550 m.

Day 6: Camp 1 - Arhuaycocha Base Camp
After breakfast at Camp 1, we will take the same route to return to Camp Morrena. Then we will continue descending to Base Camp (4300 m), where we will spend the last night.

Day 7: Base Camp - Cashapampa - Huaraz
We start our day early, this day we will descend through the Santa Cruz ravine to Cashapampa where our transportation waits for us, return to Huaraz.
