The Churup Lagoon, a natural treasure at the foot of the homonymous mountain, offers crystalline waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks. This haven of serenity invites contemplation, with its rocky surroundings and picturesque vegetation.

Itinerary

We will start picking you up at your hotel at 7:00 am. Here we will start our trip in a comfortable vehicle which will take us through various Andean villages.

From this point, we will witness impressive views of some of the most outstanding snow-capped peaks of the Huascaran National Park, such as Vallunaraju, Ocshapalca, Ranrapalca, Rimarima, San Juan and Churup, our next destination.

We will start hiking along the ridge that begins in Pitec. Throughout the hike, we will face steep sections that will require the use of ropes to facilitate the ascent. Don't worry! Our guide will be by our side during the two-hour trek.

We will reach the idyllic Churup Lagoon, located at the foot of the snow-capped mountain of the same name, where you will have free time to enjoy the views and relax in the surroundings. With renewed energy, we will return to Pitec, where the minibus will be waiting to take us back to Huaraz.

The excursion will conclude at your hotel at approximately 4:00 pm.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
