Description
You'll visit the El Brujo Archaeological Complex to meet the Lady of Cao privately for you or your group. We'll pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, including an English-speaking guide, transportation, and tickets.
On this tour, you'll get to enjoy a one-of-a-kind cultural experience. We'll pick you up from your hotel and head to the charming town of Magdalena de Cao. You'll stroll through its streets and visit a craft workshop to try the traditional chicha de año, an ancient drink still enjoyed in the area. Then you'll check out the awesome El Brujo Archaeological Complex, starting at the Cao Museum with its seven rooms full of historical pieces, including the impressive Lady of Cao, the first female ruler of ancient Peru. Then we'll check out Huaca Cao Viejo, an archaeological site with Moche murals and the mausoleum where the tattooed mummy was found with her companions for the next life. From this spot, you can check out Huaca El Brujo and Huaca Prieta, which were once home to ancient civilizations. Finally, we'll head back to Magdalena de Cao for an optional lunch and then make our way back to Trujillo, arriving around 4:00 or 5:00 p.m.
