Arequipa: Half-Day Countryside Hike with Guide

Arequipa´s half-day hike was created for hiker lovers and to discover the greatest Arequipa's countryside, located just 45min away from the city center, to encounter with nature and peaceful.
Embark on a half-day hike through the picturesque countryside of Arequipa, just 45 minutes from the city center. Designed for hiking enthusiasts, this adventure Arequipa's half-day hiking tours begins at 8AM or 12M from our office in downtown (Calle Rivero 509, Downtown) – 45 minutes of car transfer to the trailhead located outside of the city. The hike begins with great view of entire countrisyde of Characato valley - The trail is mostly gradual with some small uphill sections following well preserved trail upper the farming fields and seeing local farmers on their daily activities since colonial times. If you chose to practice this hike in the morning, for sure will be very hot and is recommended to wear good hat, long sleeve T-Shirt and sun proctection.
The distance to hike is betwenn 6KM and 8KM, which is around 3hrs through great countryside atmosphere.
For morning departs (8AM), the hikers can have the alternative to be drop-off at local restaurante as known as "Picanteria" to really taste the genuine cuisine of Arequipa region, considered one of the best in Peru. Characato offers good Picanterias (local restaurants) to have lunch and satified your taste.
