Experience adventure in the Colca Canyon: explore terraces, admire condors and connect with the local culture on a 2-day tour through one of the deepest canyons in the world.
Day 1:

At 7:30 a.m. we begin the tour with pick-up from your hotel in Arequipa. On this tour, we will explore one of the most impressive and deepest canyons in the world: the Colca Canyon. Along the way, we will pass through the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we will have the opportunity to see vicuñas in their natural habitat. We will continue to Patahuasi, a village where we can enjoy the traditional Inca Mate, a drink that helps mitigate altitude sickness thanks to its natural ingredients, such as coca leaf and muña.

Our next stop will be at the Bofedales de Toccra, where we can observe alpacas grazing in their natural environment. We will continue our journey to the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of our route, at 4900 meters above sea level. From there, we will be able to admire the majestic volcanic chain of the western mountain range. After this stop, we will descend for approximately 40 minutes until we reach the town of Chivay, where we will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch around 1 p.m.

In the afternoon, we will settle into the hotels in Chivay and then head to the thermal baths, ideal for relaxing and enjoying their medicinal properties. We will end the day with a dinner accompanied by a folkloric show with typical dances of the region. Overnight in Chivay.

Day 2:

After breakfast at our hotels, we will head to the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, about 35 minutes from Chivay. This is the ideal place to observe the impressive flight of the condors and the majesty of the Colca Canyon. We will spend about 45 minutes here, enjoying the panoramic views of the canyon. On the way back, we will make several stops at the viewpoints of the valley, from where you can see the impressive pre-Inca terraces that are still cultivated.

We will visit the villages of Yanque and Maca, where we can see their beautiful colonial churches and enjoy traditional dances. We will also have the opportunity to taste local drinks, such as the Colca Sour, a typical drink made with local ingredients.

At lunch time, we will stop again in Chivay. At the end of the tour, you will be able to choose between two return options:

Return to Arequipa (6:00 p.m.).
Continuation to Puno (8:00 p.m.)
This tour will allow you to experience the best of the Colca Canyon, enjoying spectacular landscapes, local culture and the ancestral history of the region.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
