Trekking in the Colca Canyon of 2 days and 1 night

Discover the breathtaking Colca Canyon on a two-day excursion from Arequipa, featuring Condor sightings, village visits, and natural hot springs.
DAY 01
We will start our trip with the pick up at 3.00 to 3.30am from their respective hotels located in the historic center.
In a journey of 3 hours approx. we will arrive to Chivay where we will have breakfast (continental).
(continental). After breakfast we will depart to the Mirador de Antahuilque where you can observe the right bank of the canyon. From there we will continue to the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor where we will observe the majestic flight of the condor and the depth of the canyon where we will be 30 min. approx. From here, we will continue another 20 minutes in the bus to Pampa San Miquel to start our hike downhill.
We will hike for approximately 3 ½ hours from 3300 meters to 2100 meters to the canyon.
Upon arrival, we will have lunch and time to rest in San Juan de Chuccho, a village with vegetation. From there, we will continue to the small village of Cosñirhua and Malata.
Then, it is time to start climbing deeper into the Canyon. This time in the deepest part of the hike to reach “Sangalle”, which is at an altitude of approximately 1900 meters. Here you can enjoy a warm bath in the pool to relax after a long day of hiking. We will arrive at Sangalle at approximately 16:30 pm. In the evening, you will be able to have dinner and sleep in Sangalle.

DAY 02
At 05:00 am, we start the ascent to Cabanaconde, with a 3-hour zigzag trek to enjoy scenic views and reach the town square for breakfast.
Afterwards, we drive to Chivay, stopping at Antahuilque viewpoint and Maca town to explore its church and local crafts. In Chivay, visit the Calera Hot Springs for an hour.
Following a buffet lunch (client's expense), we return to Arequipa via Patapampa at 4800m altitude, stopping at wetlands to observe Alpacas, Llamas, and Vicuñas.
At 05:00 pm, return to Arequipa, concluding the tour near Plaza de Armas.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
