Description

Visit a unique landscape, where the white rock formations create an impressive contrast with the blue sky. Connect history, art and nature in one destination.
We will begin this tour at our meeting point, once all passengers are in the vehicle, we will go to the Mirador de Yanahuara, whose height offers a spectacular panoramic view of the volcanoes, which today guard the White City: Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu. Then we will go to the Añashuayco Quarry that is still in full exploitation of ashlar stone, which is why it has become a huge canyon with gigantic white walls, about 30 meters high. Our next destination is the Quebrada de Culebrillas, an ashlar quarry that is not yet in exploitation, located in the district of Uchumayo and Cerro Colorado. A 20-minute walk will allow us to observe the enigmatic petroglyphs engraved on the walls of the ravine. On the way back to the city we will observe the Apachetas, stone structures arranged in a conical structure on the banks of the Inca Trail, as an offering. These are considered by the local people an ancestral custom that provokes a mystical sensation.
