Chachani Volcano, this volcano is famous in Arequipa is considered one of the protectors of the city Arequipa and because the "Sillar" is extracted, a white volcanic stone that is used for the construction.
Day 1: Arequipa – Base Camp
At 8:00 in the morning we pick you up from your hotel and after three hours of travel we´ll arrive at the starting point of the ascent which is at 4.900 m.. From here we´ll begin to walk slowly for two hours, appreciating in the tour the flora, fauna and the landscape of the place. Arriving at the base camp, which is located at 5,200 meters, we´ll prepare our camp and have lunch to finally rest and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
Day 2: Base Camp – Summit – Arequipa
After breakfast at 2:00 in the morning we´ll slowly begin the ascent to the top, which is at 6,075 m. in the seven-hour tour you can see a beautiful sunrise. When we reach the summit, we´ll have a spectacular view of the city of Arequipa and several volcanoes, including the Misti and Ampato volcanoes. After observing the landscape, resting and taking photos, we´ll begin the return to the base camp that will take us an approximate time of three hours. After lunch and rest we´ll descend two more hours to 4,900 m., where our car awaits us that will take us back to the city of Arequipa, arrival approx. 4:00 in the afternoon.
