Visit a village high in the mountains, hike to a local sacred site and learn about medicinal plants. Ampay Community, Pisac, Sacred Valley of the Incas
In this tour we will meet my grandmother who only speaks the language of the Incas (QUECHUA) where she will welcome us with a welcome of local products to taste such as potatoes, corn, tubers of the place and a tea of local plants. My grandmother will wait for us with food that can be vegetarian option or cuy al palo which is the best for many of our clients.
8:00 am-3:30 pm
8:00 am: Meeting at the Plaza de Armas in Cusco, at the water fountain. Then we will go to the Plaza Regocijo where our transportation will be waiting for us.

8:35 am: Arrival at Awana Kancha, a textile center where you will see different types of camelids and learn about Andean textile processes.

9:40 am: Arrival to Pisac.

10:15 am: Arrival at my grandmother's house, where she will welcome us with a small assortment of Andean products from her farm to enjoy (potato, corn, Andean tubers, etc.) and the choice of food you requested.

11:00 am: After enjoying the welcome and tasting of the products and food, we will begin our hike to the sacred site of the community. During the walk, my grandmother will explain the medicinal plants of the area. We will arrive at the sacred site at 12:30pm.

At the sacred site we will have a 15 minutes rest, after the rest we will go to see some houses of the community.

2:00pm we will return to my grandmother's house where we will say goodbye and where our transportation will be waiting for us.

3:30 pm we will be back in the main square of Cusco.

The main tour guide will be in English, but my grandmother only speaks Quechua. For a more authentic experience, communication with her will be in her ancestral language, but he will be with a bilingual tour guide who will help you translate and explain the details of the experience.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
