Description

Travel through the mysterious paths of our Inca ancestors, challenge the high mountains and enjoy the beautiful landscapes that our mother nature offers us, all this offers us this adventure route.
Itinerary
Start: Day 1 at 04:30 at your hotel in Cusco.
End: Day 2 at 18:30 in the center of Cusco.

Day 1: Cusco - Challacancha - Humantay - Soraypampa (6 hours trekking).

We will pick you up very early at your hotel to leave Cusco towards the town of Mollepata. In this place we will stop for breakfast after the 3 hours of travel from Cusco and then we will continue our journey to Challacancha, from where the hike begins.

On the hike we will have the first views of the landscape, at the same time that we are acclimatizing to the altitude of the place. We will arrive to Soraypampa, where the Sky Luxury domes are located and from where we will have the first views of the Huamantay and Salkantay snow-capped mountains. Here we can rest for a while and enjoy our lunch to replenish energy and continue with the afternoon hike.

The afternoon trekking is to the Humantay lagoon, located at 4200 m of altitude. We will walk for an hour and a half to 2 hours to reach the turquoise lagoon from where it is also possible to see the glacier with the same name and that gives rise to the lagoon, if the weather and cloud conditions permit. After staying in this place for a while, rest and take some pictures, we will return to the domes for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Soraypampa - Salkantay Pass - Cusco (7 hours trekking).

We will get up very early to start the trek to the Salkantay Pass. We will cross the landscape formed between the mountains and gain altitude as we advance, so we will have another perspective of the surrounding mountains, in addition to seeing the place where we slept the night before, weather permitting. We will follow the trail until we reach the pass, at 4600 meters altitude, the highest part of the trek. If the cloudy conditions are optimal, we will be able to see the snow-capped Salkantay and Ausangate Mountain up close, while we take a break from the climb. After seeing this true spectacle of nature, we will return by the same path to the domes to pick up our things and take the vehicle from this place to Cusco, where the activity ends.
