The 2-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is the perfect option for those with tight schedules. Experience the fusion of train travel and a hike on the first day and Machu Picchu on the second.
DAY 1 - Cusco - Chachabamba - Wiñayhuayna - Aguas Calientes
Pick up from your hotel to the train station. Travel by train (~1,5 hs) until we reach kilometer 104, where we start our hike to the archaeological remains of Chachabamba. From there we will continue with a hike until we reach the archaeological remains of Wiñayhuayna where we will enjoy lunch and continue our hike to Inti Punku (Gate of the Sun).
Here we will have the first view of Machu Picchu and then go to the entry control of the citadel of Machu Picchu where the bus takes us down to Aguas Calientes. Here we will spend the night, have dinner and prepare for the next day our visit to Machu Picchu.
DAY 2 - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes - Ollantaytambo - Cusco
After breakfast ~5 am, we will board the bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu where we will have a guided tour of the different sectors for about 2 hours then a brief time to enjoy the citadel before descending by bus to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo then to Cusco.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
