Machu Picchu 2 Days / 1 Night (By Bus)

Explore Machu Picchu with our bus tour: leave Cusco in Mercedes Benz minibuses to Hidroeléctrica in 6 hours. Walk 2 hours to Aguas Calientes to spend the night in a cozy lodge.
Day 1: Cusco - Santa Teresa - Hidroelectrica - Aguas Calientes

At 6:30 am, we will pick you up to start our scenic drive to Ollantaytambo. We will enjoy panoramic views and make a brief stop on the way. Then, we will cross the "Abra de Malaga" at 4316 m altitude, with spectacular scenery and the opportunity to see local llamas and alpacas.
We will descend into the jungle, passing through different microclimates until we reach Santa Maria at 1575 m altitude, where we will have a break. We will continue to Santa Teresa for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will walk approximately 2 hours to Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu village), where we will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

You will wake up at 4:30 a.m. to ascend the steep trail to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, which will take approximately 1.5 hours, allowing you to witness the sunrise. Afterwards, you will enjoy a private tour with a guide for about 2 hours.
After the tour, you will have free time until approximately 12:00 noon, recommended time to return to Hidroeléctrica and take the bus back to Cusco. We estimate to arrive in Cusco around 21:30 hours.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
