Sayán & Churin Day Trip

Legendary caves, natural pools and traditional villages. All this and much more awaits you on our day trip to Sayán and Churín. You will explore numerous beautiful places on this day trip from Lima.
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up at your chosen meeting point in Lima and head north towards Sayán.

Did you know that this town is famous for being the land of alfajor? As well as telling you the history of this traditional sweet, we will take you on a guided tour of Sayán. During our tour, we will visit the main square, the church of San Jerónimo and the house of the liberator José de San Martín.

Then, we will go to Churín and we will stop at the entrance of this municipality to visit the mysterious Mamahuarmi Cave. We will unveil the legend of Princess Shumac as we explore this enchanting place.

When we arrive in Churin, we will visit a fish farm and take a break for lunch on your own. After lunch, we will take a tour of Churin and visit its main square, the 16th century colonial church and the Mamahuarmi monument.

We will complete our excursion with a visit to the Tingo Thermal Complex, located a few kilometres from Churín. Its thermal waters, with a high concentration of sulphur, iron and lithium, are perfect for treating ailments such as rheumatism and arthritis and for purifying the skin.

Afterwards we will return to Lima. You will be dropped off back at the departure point at around 22:00.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
