The 1-Day Tour Waqrapucara leads us to a hidden place in the heights of the imposing Apurimac Canyon, Inca Sanctuary of Spiritual Retreat for those hikers in search of inner peace.
Our tour begins with the pick up from the hotel from 5.30 to 6.00am, and then head to the village of Acomayo (3 hours approx.) Arriving at this small and picturesque village we will have some free time to use the toilets, buy hydrating drinks and snacks. Then we will continue our journey for an additional 30 minutes to the starting point of the hike, the community of Rinconada (3800masl).
The adventure begins with a breathtaking view of the Apurimac Canyon and some rock formations that indicate that we are already close to the Waqrapucara, after an introduction from our tour guide, we will start our hike. During this hike we will be able to appreciate a great amount of flora and fauna typical of the area until we reach our destination.
After the visit to Waqrapucara we will start with the return to the town of Acomayo where we will have lunch and the transportation for our return to Cusco.
