AREQUIPA: Canyon of the Lost (Copy of) Cañón de los Perdidos

06:30Am. – 07:00Am. This journey begins with the pick-up of our clients from their hotels or bus station in Ica. We will board our vehicle to drive to the southern side of the Ica desert for approximately 30 minutes. En route our vehicle will stop so we can have breakfast. at a local restaurant and buy some snacks for the trip. Then, we will enter a narrow road to reach the incredible Canyon of the Lost. Along the way we will stop to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the most inhospitable desert in the world and formations of mountains and volcanic rocks that will take you to the imagination. Upon our arrival at the canyon viewpoint, you will be able to observe the large crack that shows its extension and depth. In this place the guide will give a broad explanation about the area and the reason for the name of the canyon of the lost.

They will have time for photos, mobility will be re-routed to go to the next point where the walk through the depths of the Canyon will begin, making small stops to observe fossils and saltpeter deposits found in the area.

3:00 p.m. Return to the city of Ica, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or bus station.
