The ATV ride is a super fun activity, our starting area is from Paracas. Then we each drove on four wheels towards the “Paracas National Reserve”.
It is a magical ride to enjoy the sea breeze accompanied by a guide specialized in the route, only one person per ATV can enter; Our stops are:
❖ Yumaque Beach: This small, protected crescent-shaped cove is approximately 2 km long. Its name comes from Quechua and means “Place where it is removed by hand”, as it is possible to extract small mollusks known as “palabritas”. In this area, the giant penguin was discovered, called Inkayacu Paracasensis in honor of the Paracas National Reserve.
❖ “Red Beach” Viewpoint: The reddish color of the shore gives the place a singular beauty. This color is due to its proximity to the Punta Santa María massif, formed by rocks that contain solidified magma inside. The action of the waves on the massif drags the reddish fragments of the rocks, which accumulate on the shore, thus giving rise to the name of the beach.
❖Mirador “Istmo Peninsula”: It is one of the main geographical features on the coast of Peru. It is surrounded by the waters of the Pacific Ocean on the coast of the province of Pisco, belonging to the department of Ica. Here we can see the entire Paracas Bay.
