Embark on an off-road adventure through high desert plains, mountain passes, and deep canyons. Enjoy panoramic views of Regal Canyon and the Salt River.
Meet your guide in a parking lot off of US Highway 60, mile marker 283, Chrysotile, AZ. Spot your guide wearing a 'Wilds of Arizona' shirt with off-road vehicles lined up and ready to go. Once you arrive, listen to a short safety talk.
Then, set off on a trail that is mostly dirt and small rocks. Drive along the ridgeline of the mountain where you will be able to look out over high plains and deep canyons. Pass through a 100,000-acre cattle ranch with a high likelihood of seeing the cattle herds.
After you leave the cattle ranch, drive through high plains dessert with Juniper and other pine trees. Travel on a forest service road along mountain passes to a scenic overlook of Regal Canyon and the Salt River. Stop to take in the views, explore, and take photos.
Continue past Senica Lake and its abandoned resort will a change to see Bald Eagles. Then, take a short drive back on the highway back to the starting point and the passengers' vehicles.
