Description
Would you like to take a trip back in time to the Inca Empire? In this activity we will travel from Cusco to the Huayllarcocha lagoon, an authentic mystical healing ritual!
Itinerary
We will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at the indicated time and leave the city behind for a trip to the Huayllarcocha lagoon. Here we go!
After half an hour's drive, we will arrive at the lake, a magical place in the middle of nature full of energy and mysticism. Doesn't it seem like the perfect place to perform the Inca fire ceremony?
Near the lake we will see animals such as alpacas, llamas, wild ducks or flamingos, and near the shore the Inca priest will be waiting for us to officiate the ritual. Are you ready? It will be a unique experience!
This ceremony consists of a cleansing with the sacred Inca fire. Did you know that this ritual is known as Inti Raymi? The high priest or Huillac Huma proceeds to greet the Sun God with a coca leaf, a sacred plant for the Andean world, and asks the sun to send its heat and light the new sacred fire.
For an hour, we will imagine how these ceremonies were performed in ancient times and, in addition, we will finish the experience with the lyrical singing by a soprano, the perfect finishing touch!
Once the fire ceremony is over, we will take you back to your hotel in Cusco. See you next time!
