Triple Tour: Piedras Rojas + Altiplanic Lagoons + Chaxa Lagoon

Experience a unique 3x1 tour: Piedras Rojas, Lagunas Altiplánicas and Laguna Chaxa. Visit Toconao and Socaire, enjoy altiplanic landscapes and local flavors with breakfast and lunch included.
We will pick you up at your hotel in the morning to start this trip out of the city. The tour to Piedras Rojas and the Altiplanic Lagoons will take us through important tourist attractions within the Atacama Desert. To reach the Piedras Rojas Lagoon, also known as Salar de Aguas Calientes, we will ascend in our vehicle to 3,800 meters above sea level and hike for 1 hour and 15 minutes to appreciate the impressive red rocks, as well as nearby lagoons and salt flats. Then, we will visit the Altiplanic Lagoons of Miscanti and Miñiques, where our tour guide will provide us with information about the flora and fauna of the place. We will also pass through the town of Socaire and the Tropic of Capricorn, where we will stop to take pictures. To close the tour, we will stop at the Chaxa Lagoon at sunset, a perfect moment to observe flamingos under the magical light of the sunset. Finally, we will return to San Pedro de Atacama to finish our tour.

The order of the places visited is subject to change on the day of the tour.

During the winter months, due to snow accumulation, access to Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons may be closed. In that case, the visit to these lagoons will be replaced by the Tuyajto Lagoon.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
