Description
Enjoy a two-day mountain tour and admire the Marcahuasi landscapes in this trekking route through one of the plateaus of the Central Cordillera of the Andes.
Day 1:
At the established time we will pick you up at the indicated place. So we will start our adventure, as first point we will go to the village of San Pedro de Casta. We will make a stop to walk through the streets and have lunch to regain strength.
After lunch we will start a trekking route for about 3 hours through the Marcahuasi plateau, which is located at 4000 meters above sea level. Keeping a good pace, we will reach the highest point at the ideal moment to contemplate the sunset.
After contemplating this spectacle, we will sit around a bonfire in the tented camp where we will rest and contemplate the starry sky.
Day 2:
We will wake up at dawn, enjoy the fresh mountain air before starting our trek. During this part of the tour we will observe the geological formations of the Marcahuasi plateau. We will see the sphinx, the extraterrestrial, the alchemist among many other enigmatic stones.
We will pass by the lagoons of Cachu Cachu and Huacracocha where we will enjoy its natural environment, we will contemplate the rock of the Lion King and the monument to Humanity, a curious figure in the shape of a human head.
Then we will return to San Pedro de Casta to have lunch and start our return trip to Lima. Arrival at the starting point is scheduled at 19:00.

- Donkey or packhorse: 20 to 25 S/ (US$6.60) per leg.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
