Itinerary
Day 1
From the Puerto Maldonado airport we will transfer you to the city's river port, where we will board a boat that will take us to the accommodation in the Tambopata jungle.

Once settled, we will go out to visit the Cocococha lagoon, where we will spend the afternoon exploring its surroundings and trying to spot its different species of avian fauna. We will see fishing and exotic birds such as hoatzins, and then we will go to a 42-meter-high observation tower from which you can spot monkeys and toucans.

We will conclude this first day by returning to the accommodation for dinner and rest.

Day 2
At dawn we will go to visit the Cachuela parrot clay lick, and then we will return to the lodge for breakfast. Around 10:30 a.m. we will take a hiking route around the ecolodge, where we will take the opportunity to spot native birds such as tinamous, trogons and trumpet birds.

After lunch we will continue looking for exotic birds on the banks of the Tambopata River. We will see silver herons, eagles, hacons and macaws. As night falls, we will continue with the activity as we will have the opportunity to see nocturnal species such as owls or hawks. Finally, we will return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3
After breakfast we will collect our belongings and go to another hostel located in Tambopata, to have the opportunity to get to know other environments in the reserve.

You will have the rest of the morning free to acclimatize or do some activity suggested by the guide, and in the afternoon we will take a hiking route of about two hours through the La Torre sector to observe birds that live inside the forest. Around 7:30 p.m. we will return to the lodge to have dinner and go out to look for nocturnal birds, before retiring to rest.

Day 4
We will leave the accommodation early to go by boat to El Chuncho, one of the largest clay licks in Tambopata. The journey will last about four hours, so as soon as we arrive we will camp there to spend the day observing the native birds, until dinner time.

Day 5
We will get up at dawn, at 5:00 a.m. to visit a macaw clay lick in El Chuncho. You will surely be surprised by the striking colors of these exotic birds!

Once we have taken the required photo with the macaws, we will return to the lodge for lunch and you will have the rest of the afternoon free.

Day 6
