The Uros Islands are a unique set of artificial islands built by the Uro indigenous community. Made mainly of totora, an aquatic plant, these floating islands offer a fascinating glimpse into the ingenious way of life of this ancient lake culture.

Itinerary

Day 1: Puno-Uros-Amantaní
We will start by picking you up at your hotel between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. approximately, to go to the port, where we will take a boat, which will take us to the island of the Uros.

Here we will spend pleasant moments and have some time to buy souvenirs.

We will board again to go to the Amantani Islands, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us.

We will spend the rest of the day and night on these islands learning about their activities.

Day 2: Amantaní-Taquile-Puno
We will start the day with a delicious breakfast in Amantani, and then embark to the island of Taquile, where we will hike for about 40 minutes to reach the community, and we can observe its craft fair and different attractions.

Finally we will have our lunch and return to the port of Puno, where we will finish our tour around 5:30 in the afternoon.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
