Full day visit to Uros Island - Taquile

Live the experience of seeing floating islands made of totora reeds, learn a little about the customs of the communities that live on the islands. Admire the beautiful Lake Titicaca.
The island of the Uros, a group of 80 islands built on totora, an aquatic plant that grows on the surface. The people who inhabit this island are the Uros, one of the oldest cultures of the continent, still maintain some of their customs and their subsistence is based on fishing and hunting, they also produce wool tapestry fabrics and stuffed animals.

-The excursion begins with the pick up from the hotel (near or within the historic center of Puno) between 6:30 - 7:00 am.
-We will embark towards the first floating island of the Uros, here we will have a brief guide and learn more about the experiences of the area.
-After visiting Uros we will continue the tour until we reach the island of Taquile, here we will enjoy spectacular views, also here we will have a delicious lunch in one of the family houses.
-We will explore the area and we will visit the main square of the island, we will see the islanders with their typical costumes.
-Then we will return to the port of Puno, arrival time 15:30 p.m. approximately.
