During the tour, you will learn many surprising things about this famous historic place. For an hour you will walk around the interior of the museum with a passionate and professional guide. You will discover its secrets and riddles. It was created already in 1702! It hides many secrets within its walls. This is where famous German Nobel Prize winners were educated, there are as many as 14 of them! Theodor Mommsen, Fritz Haber, Max Born. Gerhart Hauptmann and the Polish novelist Olga Tokarczuk.

We start the trip at the Wrocław Market Square - it is not far from the university building. We walk through the Market Square and its narrow streets to University Square.

University tour begins with the famous baroque representative halls "Aula Leopoldyna" and "Oratorium Marianum". This is where the ceremonial beginning of the academic year of all universities in Wrocław takes place. The room is impressive! It is the only such well-preserved secular baroque interior in Poland with full decoration, including illusionistic wall paintings by Johann Christoph Handke. In the center of the hall you can see a sculpture of the King of Germany and Emperor Leopold I Habsburg on the throne.

Right next to it, the second hall - the Musical Oratorium - delights with its beauty. Thanks to its excellent acoustics, the oratory has become one of the main music halls in Wrocław. In the 19th century, Johannes Brahms, Ferenc Liszt, Niccolò Paganini, Anton Rubinstein, Klara Schumann and Henryk Wieniawski gave concerts there.

After visiting the rooms, we go up the comfortable large imperial stairs to the Mathematical Tower of the University of Wrocław. (50 low stone steps) The view from the tower covers the entire Old Town! From here you can see all the most important monuments in Wrocław, including the Wrocław Cathedral. The observation deck on the tower is decorated with four huge sculptures by Franz Mangoldt.

Finally, we reach the University Museum to discover the colorful history of the university. Wrocław has been a city of students for centuries. In the museum, we will learn how Wrocław students studied and had fun - today and before the war. There's a lot to talk about!

We end the walk outside - in front of the university there is a monument to a naked swordsman. Why naked? Want to know this funny story? Of course you can do it! We invite you to our guided tour.
