Detailed explanations.
Experience the wild beauty of São Miguel’s north coast
We begin our journey in the charming fishing village of Rabo de Peixe and head out to sea, following the breathtaking coastline all the way to the stunning bay of Porto Formoso. Along the way, you’ll see dramatic cliffs, hidden beaches, and natural rock arches carved by wind and waves — all surrounded by the deep blue of the Atlantic.
We’ll explore the unique geological formation known as the Graben of Ribeira Grande, pass by the historic Porto de Santa Iria, and venture into sea caves near Ponta do Cintrão — one of the most impressive headlands on the island. This is also a special area for seabirds, so keep your eyes open!
We keep our groups small and avoid artificial sounds to ensure an experience that’s peaceful, respectful, and connected to nature.
Our friendly, local team will make you feel at home, sharing stories, insights, and taking care of every detail — including serving you a warm cup of local tea and homemade biscuits on board, all made with local Azorean products.
To end the day, we’ll take a peaceful ride through open waters — a perfect moment to admire the island from a distance. And if we’re lucky, we might even spot dolphins or other wild marine life along the way.
