Description
Step into Portuguese tradition and cook simple, delicious recipes inspired by grandmothers’ love. From Peixinhos da Horta to Arroz Doce, create and savor dishes filled with flavor and stories.
Sundays have always been a special day—a day to gather with family around the table, sharing meals, stories, and laughter. For many of us, it was also the day to sit beside our grandmothers in the kitchen, watching as they worked their magic to create dishes filled with love. Their kitchens were more than just a place to cook; they were a space where traditions came to life, and the aromas of their recipes became the backdrop of our most cherished memories.
This cooking class is our heartfelt homage to those Sundays and to grandmothers everywhere—the unsung chefs of love. Inspired by the cherished memories of our founder and our chef, this experience is a fusion of the dishes their grandmothers lovingly prepared and the rich flavors of traditional Portuguese cuisine. Each recipe is simple, quick, and utterly delicious, designed to fit into your life without losing the essence of tradition.
We’ve all shared the experience of standing by our grandmothers’ side, watching their every move as they cooked. And when it came to dessert, we were always there with a spoon in hand, ready to sneak a taste before it was even ready. This class celebrates those joyful memories, bringing those cherished moments to life.
During the class, you’ll prepare and enjoy a menu crafted to honor the spirit of Portuguese grandmothers:
• Starter: Peixinhos da Horta (green bean fritters)
• Main Course: Guisado de Ervilhas com Chouriço e Ovos Escalfados (pea stew with chorizo and poached eggs)
• Dessert: Arroz Doce (Portuguese rice pudding)
Throughout the session, water and traditional Portuguese wine will be served to enhance the experience. And to end on the sweetest note, we’ll offer you a choice of a digestif or tea to accompany your dessert.
Held every Sunday, this class is a celebration of family, tradition, and the joy of sharing a meal. Join us as we honor the love, warmth, and legacy of grandmothers, turning Sundays into a feast of connection and Portuguese flavors.
