Embark on a flavorful journey through Alfama — where generous tapas, hearty dishes, craft beers, and fine Portuguese wines come together for the authentic Taverna das Marias experience.
Our tapas menu for two includes a little travel to the country:
• Seasoned olives and chickpeas
• Cheese and Charcuterie Board
• Sardine pâté
• Portuguese-style baked potatoes
• Codfish salad
• Pork ribs terrine
• Dessert:
• Cheese with pumpkin jam and coconut slices or
• Drunk pear in Porto wine
• Bottle (one) of wine from the house: vinho verde/white/rose/red or 2 glass - 50cl of Portuguese Craft Beer (Blond, Sour or Dry Stout)
Obs: The tasting dinner will last approximately 2 hours. We kindly ask that you arrive on time so we can serve you at our best.

- Codfish salad
- Pork ribs terrine
- Vegan Option:
- Heart cabbage with tomato onion confit and chickpea purée with coriander.
- This dish must be requested at least 24 hours before dinner. Please note that the codfish salad or pork terrine will be excluded from the menu to allow for this substitution.)
- Dessert:
- Cheese with pumpkin jam and coconut slices or
- Drunk pear in Porto wine
- Bottle (one) of wine from the house: vinho verde/white/rose/red or
- 2 glass - 50cl of Portuguese Craft Beer (Blond, Sour or Dry Stout)
NOT INCLUDED
- Menu alterations are welcome, but charged individually at full price.
- Vegan Option:
- Heart cabbage with tomato onion confit and chickpea purée with coriander. (amazing option)
- Obs. This dish must be requested at least 24 hours before dinner. Please note that the codfish salad or pork terrine or both will be excluded from the menu to allow for this substitution.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
