Next, explore the spectacular Mira Aire Cave, one of Portugal’s largest cave systems. The visit is guided and takes you through a descent of about seventy five metres, passing illuminated chambers, unique rock formations and flowing water shaped over thousands of years. Along the route you will receive clear explanations about the geology, the formations and the history of the cave. A lift brings you back to the surface at the end of the tour.

To complete the journey, visit the magical town of Óbidos, one of Portugal’s best preserved medieval villages. Your guide provides historical context about the town, its defensive walls and its role over the centuries, helping you understand the importance of this fortified settlement. Afterwards, you are free to explore the streets and atmosphere of Óbidos at your own rhythm.
