• Children under 12 years old or below 1.35m in height are not allowed.
• The exact pickup time will be confirmed the day before or on the morning of departure.
• Please wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring rain gear.
• Bring your own food and drinks for the hike.
• This is a self-guided hike. Trail conditions may vary, and some sections can be slippery. Proper footwear is recommended.
• This hike requires a mandatory entry fee per person, payable to IFCN (Madeira’s Forest Department).
To guarantee your preferred time slot, we strongly recommend purchasing your ticket in advance via the official platform, Simplifica.
However, if needed, we will be happy to assist you with the process on the day before your hike.
Please note that when travelling with a local operator, your place on the trail is guaranteed.
• It is very important to respect the scheduled times provided by the driver or organizers. In case of delay or no-show, we reserve the right to depart without refund.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
