Meet your guide at your hotel, and then journey to the Douro Valley in your air-conditioned vehicle. Appreciate the scenery as your passionate guide explains the history and culture of the area. Stop in a small village to taste local products and meet the locals.
Then, travel through the heart of the Douro Valley Wine Region to Pinhão, making stops to take some photos at spectacular viewpoints. Visit Pinhão train station, which is decorated with hand-painted tile murals of the town and the surrounding wine region. Cruise in a rabelo, a typical wooden cargo boat that transported Port Wine to the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia for centuries.
After completing your boat tour, have lunch in a charming winery and taste local food rooted in traditional cuisine, but with a modern twist.
