Start your day by meeting your Madeira hiking transfer at one of the pickup points in Funchal. From there, you'll be transported directly to the trailhead for a magical sunrise at Pico do Areeiro.
PR1 Experience:
After the sunrise at Pico do Areeiro, you’ll follow the thrilling PR1 trail to Pico Ruivo. This well-marked path leads you through Madeira's stunning landscapes to its highest peak, with unforgettable panoramic views along the way.

Your hike concludes at Achada do Teixeira, where timed transportation will bring you back to your chosen stop.

Trail access tickets are NOT included in our service and are the sole responsibility of each customer.

Customers who fail to obtain the required ticket may be denied access to the trail, and no refund or compensation will be provided.

2. ARRIVE EARLY - be at the bus stop/pick up point 10 minutes before our orange bus is scheduled to leave.
3. SELF-GUIDED - hike without a guide; check our map & LOCATIONS' LINKS (PINS), Trail Timing Guide and IG highlighted stories.
4. DELAYED PASSENGERS - if you don’t show up until the time of planned departure, you will be classified as a "no-show" and the bus will leave you behind.
5. We provide TRANSFER SERVICE ONLY. Trail tickets/permits are NOT included and must be purchased separately by each customer via the Simplifica platform before the hike. Customers without a valid ticket may be denied trail access.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
