Located in the Prahova Valley, in one of the most beautiful mountain areas of Romania, Peles and Pelisor were the summer residences of the first two kings of Romania (Carol 1: 1866- 1914- Peles Castle and Ferdinand: 1914- 1927- Pelisor).
Cantacuzino Castle (Zamora) was the "architectural" response of the richest Romanian of the time, Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino (1832- 1913), minister in various governments and the 20th Prime Minister of Romania, in the periods 1899- 1900 and 1904- 1907.
