Description

Visit Britain's northernmost archipelago and spend a day exploring Shetland's beauty. Travel by ferry from Aberdeen with your choice of accommodation on board.
We're a proud local Shetland company with over 75 years experience, we know and love our beautiful island home and want to share it with you!
Join us from Mainland Scotland to travel to Aberdeen to make the ferry crossing to Lerwick, Shetland's capital and largest settlement.
Here, you'll be met by your local driver and qualified tour guide who are excited to show you just a few of the delights Shetland has in store. Along the way, you'll hear tales of the islands' history, learn a bit of the local dialect (though we can't promise you'll understand it in just one day!), meet some Shetland Ponies, get the chance to see some wonderful bird life and visit some of our most enjoyed attractions.
We're sure that your short tour to Shetland will leave you keen to return and explore the rest of our stunning islands.

Day 1:
You'll be collected by a comfortable coach for your journey to Aberdeen where we join the overnight ferry to Lerwick.

Day 2:
Following an included breakfast on board, disembark to meet your local driver and tour guide for an exciting day exploring the Shetland Mainland. We start with a driving tour of Lerwick, before heading to Shetland's former capital- Scalloway. Here we enjoy excellent views of the fishing village before visiting Carol's Ponies. Here you can get up close to these iconic little ponies whilst Carol tells you about their importance.
We take a scenic drive southwards, passing Fladdabister, Moussa and Sandwick to arrive at Hoswick Visitor Centre where we learn about Shetland Knitwear and have the chance to purchase some to take home!
Our next stop is Sumburgh Head, the southernmost tip of Shetland- visit the impressive Stevenson lighthouse and keep your eyes peeled for a wide array of seabirds on the cliffs below- if you're lucky you might get to see a puffin.
We make the short journey to the Sumburgh Hotel where we refresh with an included soup & sandwich lunch.
Right next to the hotel is Jarlshof- one of the British Isles' most remarkable archaeological sites. Enjoy a walk around the remains and be sure to check out the gift shop.
Starting our journey north, we visit the island of Burra for a stop in Hamnavoe and at the beautiful Meal Beach.
We conclude our day with some time at leisure in Lerwick before returning to our waiting ferry for the journey back to the mainland.

Day 3:
Arriving in Aberdeen, enjoy breakfast on board once more before commencing the journey back to the Central Belt.
