Meet at Stirling Distillery, located inside the historic Old Smiddy, just a few minutes’ walk from Stirling Castle. Enjoy a relaxed, seated 90-minute whisky tasting inside a small, family-run working distillery.

A member of the distillery team will guide you through four 25ml Scotch whisky drams selected from different whisky-producing regions of Scotland. Taste the whiskies side by side and compare their aromas, flavors, and regional styles while learning how ingredients, distillation methods, cask types, and maturation influence each dram.

Taste a 25ml measure of Stirling Distillery’s own new make spirit—the clear spirit before it becomes single malt whisky. The guide will explain how whisky production returned to Stirling in 2023 for the first time since 1852 and how the distillery’s first single malt is currently maturing.

During the experience, see the working distillery equipment, learn how to nose and taste whisky properly, and ask questions directly to the team involved in production. No previous whisky knowledge is required, making the experience suitable for complete beginners as well as whisky enthusiasts.

Choose the standard option for the complete guided tasting. The special option includes the same tasting plus a 5cl whisky miniature and a Glencairn whisky glass to take home.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
