Day 1: Scenic Transfer to Akagera & Authentic Local Experiences.

start with scenic 2.5-hour drive to Akagera National Park, along the way, enjoy stopovers to admire Rwanda’s rolling hills and stunning landscapes, before entering the park you will participate in local community activities including: a visit to nearby village where you will engage with residents, learn about their culture and explore traditional crafts and daily life, upon arrival at the park you will check in to your lodge, followed by a short evening game drive to spot some of the park’s early wildlife activity. Later in the evening you will embark on a peaceful sunset boat safari on Lake Ihema, where you may encounter hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and possibly elephants along the water’s edge. Day 2: Full Day Wildlife Game drive and Transfer Back to Kigali.

After breakfast, you will set off on an exciting full-day game drive through Akagera National Park, offering one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in Rwanda, spot an impressive variety of wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo—alongside giraffes, zebras, antelope species. AKagera’s diverse scenery, ranging from open plains to lakes and wetlands, provides a breathtaking backdrop for wildlife observation, thereafter begin your journey to Kigali, Upon arrival you will be dropped off at your accommodation or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Akagera safari experience.
