Description

Lake Kivu, the largest lake in Rwanda, is surrounded by magnificent mountains and has deep emerald and green waters. The lake is in the region of tea plantation including Pfunda tea factory.
Once you are in Kigali, a day tour is organized at Lake Kivu, side of Gisenyi. If you have a free day, after or before a conference or a business meeting, you can explore the beauty of the country of Thousand Hills.
We are leaving Kigali at 5.30am and drive to Rubavu, former Gisenyi town with a stop at Pfunda Tea factory. We visit farm of tea and learn how it is planted, maintained. We also visit the factory to learn how tea is processed, different category of tea, packaging process and we can taste tea. By midi day, we drive to the showers of Lake Kivu where different activities are awaiting.
After lunch, we have boat ride to explore islands and fill the breeze of the lake. Later afternoon we drive back to Kigali to reach the hotel around 8pm.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
