Embark on a 3-day adventure to see the gorillas and golden monkeys of Rwanda. Visit the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village, go gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, and see the Dian Fossey Fund and Museum.
Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at the airport, be met by a representative who will be your driver guide. Get briefed about your trip and transfer to Ruhengeri to visit the Ibyiwacu people and learn more about their culture. Engage in some of their cultural dances as they perform and have lunch.
Proceed to the lodge later in the evening and check-in for your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, proceed to Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing about the does and don’ts of the tracking activity. Be assigned rangers in different groups and embark on tracking the gorillas.
Once the gorillas are sighted, spend an hour watching your closest long lost cousins. After, embark on your return from the park and proceed to your lodge. After lunch, go for a visit to the Dian Fossey Fund/Museum to learn more about the history of Dian Fossey and the gorillas.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer back to Kigali
After an early breakfast at your lodge, proceed to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing about the does and don’ts when tracking the golden monkey.
Proceed for the experience. Spend an hour watching and studying their behavior once you sight them. Embark on your transfer back to Kigali with lunch en route. Be dropped off at the airport for your flight to your next destination.

Gorilla trekking can be physically demanding; ensure you are in good physical condition.
Golden monkey trekking is less strenuous but still requires some level of fitness.
Tracking gorillas and golden monkeys is subject to rules and guidelines to protect the animals and their habitat.
Expect changes in weather conditions; the area can be cold in the morning and evening.
Carry enough water and some energy snacks for the trekking activities.
Wear comfortable hiking shoes and dress in layers for the trek.
A portion of your trekking permit fee contributes to the conservation of gorillas and their habitat.
Photography is allowed but flash photography is not permitted near the gorillas.
Keep a safe distance from the gorillas and follow the guide's instructions at all times.
On arrival at the Airport, you will find our professional guide waiting for you and must be putting on the kashari resort tours attire and will also be displaying a poster for kashari resort tours.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
