On this tour, we'll follow the route of the martyrs Monsignor Romero and Cosme Spessotto, Catholic leaders murdered during the civil war in El Salvador.
This tour is designed to honor and learn about the history of the martyrs Monsignor Romero and Cosme Spessotto, who were killed by the Salvadoran army during the civil war in El Salvador.
The tour starts in the historic center of San Salvador, where you'll visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Crypt of Monsignor Romero. Then, you'll head to the Chapel of Divine Providence, where you'll enter the chapel where Monsignor Romero was assassinated by the army while giving a homily in 1980.
Then we'll head to the Church of San Juan Bautista in the municipality of San Juan Nonualco, Department of La Paz, where we'll visit the church, tomb, and altar where Fray Cosme Spessotto was murdered.
You'll also have exclusive access to the relics of Cosme Spessotto, the cassock he was wearing when he was murdered, and other relics found in the monastery.
