Description

Learn how to make rakija at a family homestead in Serbia on 3,5 hours trip from Belgrade. Enjoy a BBQ or Vegan lunch, meet farm animals, and take home a bottle of rakija you helped make.
Forget the crowded rakija-tasting bars in downtown Belgrade — this is the real thing. Travel about an hour outside the city to a traditional family homestead in Kupinovo, in the heart of Serbia's Srem region, surrounded by the Bojčinska Forest and the Obedska Bara nature reserve.

Here, you won't just taste rakija — you'll help make it. In many countries, home distilling is heavily restricted or banned — here, it's a living tradition passed down through generations. Your host will walk you through the traditional distilling process, from fruit to finished spirit, and you'll take part hands-on. At the end, you'll bottle and take home your own 100ml bottle of rakija — a souvenir you can't buy in any shop.

Along the way, explore the homestead's animals and homemade products, and enjoy a BBQ or vegan lunch featuring local cheese, cured meats, and other traditional specialties. Traveling with kids? This is a great destination for the whole family — while parents take part in the rakija-making or the ajvar/jam workshop, children can spend time with the homestead's farm animals and explore the grounds. Prefer something lighter or non-alcoholic? Ask about our optional ajvar or homemade jam-making workshop — a fun, hands-on alternative especially popular with families.

This is countryside Serbia the way locals actually live it — hospitable, hands-on, and nothing like a typical city tour.
