The "Tajo de los Vados" cordata route is located in the municipality of Vélez de Benaudalla, in the province of Granada, near the GR-3302 highway that connects Motril with the A-44 Highway (Bailén-Motril). The via cordata takes place on a vertical wall about 350 meters high and has a series of steps equipped with staples. The route offers stunning views of the ravine and surrounding landscape.

We will ascend in an entertaining and light way with lateral steps and without realizing it we are quickly gaining height with impressive views, we will reach a point just below the wall where the metal platform is located where to the left, following the cable and chain a little, we will It leads to an exposed strip and with care you can get out of the cordata as an escape route.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Approach (10 minutes)
From the car park, we set off with gear on, roped together in assembly. A 10-minute zigzag path leads to the wall where the via cordata begins.

Activity on the Via Cordata (3h 10m)

Start: Safety briefing and climb initiation on steel staples.
First Section: Ascend to a large terrace, continue on staples, and stop for gear exchange.
Second Section: Climb to a narrow balcony, then staples and a zigzag lifeline path. Pause on a large terrace for snacks.
Third Section: Steep climb on staples to a descending balcony, then a lifeline path to the final gear stop.
Final Section: Last climb with sea views, photo stop on a metal-gridded ledge, and summit.
Return (40 minutes)
Descend along the mountain ridge to "La Canal," then retrace the approach back to the car park.
