Alicante Benidorm: Algar waterfall & Guadalest Castle by Car

Take this unique 2-in-1 tour by private BMW car! Visit two pearls of the Mediterranean in one tour: the famous Algara Waterfalls and Guadalest Castle & Villadge.
On this unique tour you will visit:
1. The famous Algar Natural Park with waterfalls and a mountain river.
2. The medieval castle of Guadalest and its village located at the foot.

After you are met by car, we will embark on an unforgettable journey to medieval Spain. Along the way, you will enjoy spectacular mountain scenery and authentic Spanish towns.

Total tour duration is about 5 hours.
Timing:
- Trip from Alicante to Algar 1 hour.
- Inside Algar Park 1 hour.
- Trip from Algar to Guadalest 30 minutes.
- Visit to the castle and village of Guadalest 1.5 hours.
- Trip from Guadalest to Alicante 1 hour.

The Algar waterfall visit consists of a 1.5 km long circuit along the bed of the Algar river ("cave" in Arabic) to see the landscape resulting from the karst modelling of the limestone rock: the spectacular waterfalls; the numerous springs that spring from the Doroca; the "tolls" (backwaters) of pure and crystalline waters, formerly considered as a "source of health"; the old dam, the imposing canal and the centuries-old irrigation channels still in use today. Take in the spectacular views as you ride along the mountainous river.
You can take a swim if you wish.


The Guadales Tour consists of visiting a small village in which the castle is located and the castle itself.
Our driver will accompany you around the village.

The castle is an open-air museum and castle grounds are full of authentic shops serving local food and beverages most of which can be tasted.
From the central square of the castle there is an amazing view of the valley and Lake Guadalest!

You will walk through narrow medieval streets paved with stone and pass through a gate carved into the rock many centuries ago.
Visiting (entrance) to the village is free.
Also free entry to the medieval church.

The castle itself is a fortress (fortification) and living quarters.
The rulers of the region lived in this house. The castle has preserved the furnishings of the 17th-18th centuries. Furniture, paintings, and interior items are perfectly preserved and of great value.
Entrance to the museum castle is paid (4 euros).

Optionally, you can book a table in a restaurant with a mountain view (available at the booking stage).
The price of 30 euros includes the booking service and the waiting time for the driver. Food and drinks are charged separately on the restaurant bill.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
