Bilbao has reinvented itself while keeping its medieval heart at the centre of the city. The experience begins on foot in the Casco Viejo, the historic quarter founded in 1300.

Walk through the Seven Streets, the original medieval layout of the city, and discover some of its most important landmarks, including Santiago Cathedral, Plaza Nueva, San Antón and Ribera Market. Along the way, learn how Bilbao grew from a small medieval settlement into one of the most important commercial and industrial cities in northern Spain.

The second part of the experience takes you to Pío Baroja pier, where you board a shared boat for a one-hour cruise along the Nervión estuary. The river was at the heart of Bilbao's industrial development and is now central to the city's transformation. From the water, see the Zubizuri bridge, the Isozaki Towers and the Guggenheim Museum, framed by the La Salve bridge, before continuing towards the former shipyards and industrial areas of Zorrotzaurre.

The cruise offers a different perspective of Bilbao, connecting the historic city with the modern architecture and regenerated waterfront that define it today. The experience ends back at Pío Baroja pier, in the city centre, with the option to continue independently to the Guggenheim Museum.
