Guided tour of the Cella Vinaria Antiqua winery-museum

The Cella Vinaria Antiqua is a centuries-old winery-museum, restored and converted into a workshop for the production, preservation and dissemination of the ancient technique of producing wine in clay jars.
This experience includes a guided tour of our centuries-old winery, a space full of history and memories, where you can discover the Roman heritage of Talha wine and its importance in the Alentejo. Along the way, participants will immerse themselves in the traditions and ancient knowledge that, generation after generation, have kept the art of making wine in clay jars alive. It will be possible to learn in detail about the ancestral methods of winemaking, from the choice of grapes to the unique process of fermentation and ageing in the imposing Talhas. As well as enjoying the authentic atmosphere of the winery-museum, visitors will come into contact with pieces, objects and stories that bear witness to the deep relationship between the region and wine. At the end of the visit, a simple wine tasting completes this unique immersion in the culture of wine and the oenological legacy of the Alentejo, providing a moment of sharing, flavors and emotions.
