1 Day
Colombo - Kataragama
You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to visit Rumassala. The legendary chronicle ‘Ramayana’ proclaims that ‘Rumassala’ is a chunk of Himalayan Mountains in India that was brought by Hanuman to find medicine for Lakshman when he was injured in the battle with Ravana. On completion, you will be taken to Ussangoda. Ussangoda differ from other destinations of Sri Lanka because of the exclusive soil structure and flora. In the evening, you will visit Kataragama Hindu Temple. This temple is dedicated to God Kataragama usually is called Murugan or Kartikeya by Tamils & Kandasamy or God Skandha by Hindus.

2 Day
Kataragama - Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, you will be driven to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit Ravana waterfall and Cave. Rawana Waterfall is a legendary waterfall that goes back to the era of Ramayana. Rawana Cave is believed to be one of several places where Rawana hid lovely Indian Princess Seeta after abducting her. Recently a 20,000-year-old skull was discovered in the cave. Measuring about 50ft wide, 150ft long and 60ft high, this cave will not impress a tourist who does not believe Ramayana. Thereafter, you will visit Seetha Amman Temple. Sri Seetha Amman temple is a unique temple situated in Nuwara Eliya. This is believed to be the place where Seeta lived most of the time of her captivity according to the historical Legend of Ramayana.

3 Day
Nuwara Eliya - Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, you will visit Gayathri Peedam. The first and most important temple built for Gayathri Amman (Gayatri being an aspect of Saraswati and the Universal Mother) in Sri Lanka. Gayathri Peedam is said to be the place from where King Ravana's son Meghanath propitiated Lord Shiva with penance and worship, before he was granted supernatural powers by the mighty god. On completion of this visit, you will be taken to visit Diurumpola Temple. This place is said to have been the location where Seetha Devi underwent "Agni Pariksha" (test), to prove her chastity. The Sinhalese name “Divurumpola” means ‘the place of oath’. Today the legal system permits and accepts the swearing done at this temple while settling disputes between parties. Proceed to Seetha Eliya and visit Ashok Vatika. Ashok Vatika is a garden, located in Seeta Eliya. According to the historical Legend of Ramayana, Seeta was kept in this garden as she refused to stay in Ravana's magnificent palace. Some of the findings here include a rock on which Seeta used to sit and meditate. In the evening, you will be able to enjoy a short city tour of Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya - Katunayake
Now having explored the Ramayana sites in Sri Lanka, you will be transferred to Airport for your flight back home!

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
