This 2-day Sri Lanka tour is planned to visit Sri Lanka's south coast and the hill country. The tour includes the virgin rainforest of Sinharaja and the trip includes one of the most popular national parks of Sri Lanka, Udawalawe national park. The hill country blue train journey is a highlight for most travellers and it allows the travellers to some of the most beautiful scenery on the island.

The tour includes many activities including the hill country blue train journey from Ella to Nuwara Eliya, the wildlife safari of Udawalawe national park, the guided rainforest of Sinharaja, a tea plantation visit, visiting waterfall, visiting the hill country resort of Ella, visiting scenic tea plantations, and visiting tea factory in Nuwara Eliya.

The tour covers the most scenic Sri Lanka hill country, south coast scenic countryside, and south coast wildlife park and you will be able to see the highest peak of Sri Lanka, Pidurutalagala and the beautiful city of Nuwara Eliya. Start your trip from the west coast and travel to the highest city in Sri Lanka which sits 2800 meters above sea level.

Day 1
The 2 days tour kicks off from your hotel on the west coast and you will cut through the scenic countryside of Sri Lanka's low country. It would take about 2 hours for you to reach the Sinharaja rainforest. Later our nature guide will show you fascinating trees, plants, veins, birds, waterfalls, and many other creatures that reside in the forest, during the rainforest trekking. Your jungle trek lasts 3-4 hours.

After teh jungle trekking proceed further into the interior of the island to reach Udawalawe national park. Your Udawalawe National Park safari lasts 4 hours and it allows you to see many fascinating wild creatures such as Elephants, Bear, crocodiles, jackals, monitors, mungoes, wild buffaloes, deer, birds and we ll as many other creatures.

After the Udawlawe safari proceed to the popular hill country resort of Ella. Check-in at the hotel and leisure.

Dinner and overnight stay in Ella

Day 2
Early morning board the Colombo bound hill country train for Ella railway station. Your scenic rail journey lasts about 2 hours and 30 minutes. You will be guided to your seats in the hill country blue train by your guide. During the trip, you will touch the most scenic part of the hill country blue train journey and you will pass a tea plantation, patches of forest, vegetable plots, and green-capped mountains, isolated villages.. You will be collected by your guide upon reaching the Nanu Oya railway station.

Later drive to a scenic tea plantation and factory in Nuwara Eliya, en-route stop at Gregory lake esplanade.
The tea factory visit lasts about 1 hour and afterwards proceed to your hotel on the west coast.
