This Etili village tour allows you to experience traditional village agriculture and a traditional Sri Lankan lunch. Visit Chena and go on a boat ride in the lake.
To begin, you will be picked up from your hotel in Ella or Bandarawela and then transferred to the Mirissa kade junction where you can start your journey into village life. Arrive at Chena, where you will be provided with a traditional welcome drink before learning how to select fresh vegetables that will be used in the preparation of your lunch.
You can then do a boat safari in a nearby lake, which enables you to enjoy views of birds and wild animals while enjoying a chilled beer or fruit juice. Then, enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan village lunch in a mud house, with curd served for dessert.
After lunch, you can plant a tree as part of your environmental contribution to the area. You can then go on a small hike to a viewpoint, where you can enjoy a herbal tea. Come back to the lake and view the sunset before being taken back to your hotel.
