Climb the Knuckles Peak, stay one night at a peaceful mountain camp, and visit Heeloya farmers’ village with beautiful waterfalls. Taste local food, meet friendly villagers, and relax in pure nature
Your tour starts at 7:30 AM from Kandy. We drive about 50 km to the beautiful Knuckles Mountain area. Along the way, you can enjoy lovely mountain views, tea gardens, and small village scenes.
We start the hike through green rice fields and quiet forest paths. Around 10:00 AM, we reach a local farm village house where you can relax, drink a fresh king coconut, and learn how to cook traditional milk rice and sambol with friendly village people.
After the meal, we continue the hike to the top of Knuckles Peak, where you’ll see amazing views of the mountains and valleys. Around noon, we visit Perumal Ella Waterfall for a refreshing swim in a natural pool. Then we have a delicious traditional rice and curry lunch made by local farmers.
In the evening, you’ll enjoy camping at our nature campsite, a peaceful dinner, and a night under the stars.
On Day 2, after breakfast, we visit Heeloya farmers’ village. You’ll walk through paddy fields, small canals, and village homes, and see how local people live close to nature. We’ll visit another waterfall and enjoy a tasty home-cooked lunch before heading back to Kandy by 5:00 PM.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
