This snorkel tour takes place in a protected marine reserve that is full of sea lions, seals, different fish species and other wildlife. The tour includes wildlife showings and educational background from our expert guides. Highlights include Swimming with sea lions and seals, snorkeling among a variety of fish species, and exploring La Jolla Cove’s sea caves and dramatic coastline. This is a beach-entry snorkeling experience with Equipment included for use.
This is an active, ocean experience designed for confident swimmers who are comfortable spending time in ocean waters. Floatation devices are prohibited in the La Jolla Cove.

Ages 14–17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
Flotation devices and life jackets are not permitted on this tour
Parking is very busy - allow at least 30 minutes or use rideshare/public transportation
Tours depart on time - late arrivals are considered no shows
Meet by the flagpole located at the La Jolla cove adjacent to the lifeguard station and restrooms.
INCLUDED
- 90 minute Guided snorkeling tour includes silicone dive mask, snorkel with dry-top and purge valves, dive fins, and 3 mm wetsuit for use during the tour. Towels, waters, snacks and secure storage are also included.
NOT INCLUDED
- Sunscreen, contact lenses/prescription masks, GoPro rental, bathing suit, optional gratuity for your guide.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
