A full day experience, starting with a safari through Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, visit the KwaSmolo Community with a "Shisanyama" (BBQ) for lunch and end off with a visit to Dumazulu Traditional Village.
Begin your day with a 3-4 hour safari in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, home to the "Big 5". Keep your eyes peeled for elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, and buffalo, but not forgetting all the other fantastic creatures, large and small, as you explore this iconic game reserve.
Next you head to the starting point of the KwaSmolo Community Visit for a guided walk through the community. There are no set start times and no set schedule because the idea is that you see and experience day-to-day life in rural Zululand as it happens. Immerse yourself in the daily life of the locals, visiting a primary school, a Sangoma (healer), a Shembe Temple, and a local "Spaza" shop. Experience the authenticity of Zululand as you engage with the community. Enjoy a traditional South African braai for lunch at the end of your visit before heading off for a guided tour through Dumazulu Traditional Village which gives further insights into Zulu life, but of a time long, long ago!
This full day experience showcases the best of the areas rich natural wildlife heritage interwoven with traditional and modern day-to-day Zulu cultural life.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
