Begin your evening inside a traditional Sami lavvu, gathered around the fire in a small group. Meet a Sami reindeer herder and award-winning singer who will introduce you to the world of joik, one of the oldest musical traditions in Europe.
More than music, joik is a way of expressing people, animals, emotions, and landscapes through voice. Listening to it in an authentic Arctic setting offers a rare opportunity to connect with Sami culture and traditions. There will also be time to ask questions and learn about life in the Arctic from a local perspective.
After approximately one hour of cultural immersion, head into the Arctic night. Travel in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle to the areas with the best weather and sky conditions of the evening. Depending on forecasts and cloud cover, you may travel significant distances to maximize the chances of seeing the aurora.
During the Northern Lights chase, your guide will share photography tips, stories about Arctic life, and help you understand the night sky. Hot drinks and snacks are provided throughout the evening.
Professional photos are included, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience while taking home high-quality memories from both the Sami cultural experience and the Northern Lights adventure.

Photography before and after the performance is welcome, but during the joik session we invite guests to disconnect from their devices and fully experience the moment. This is not a staged show, but a rare opportunity to experience a living Sami tradition in an authentic Arctic setting.
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
